TRANSPORT
- Comfortable AC bus transfer for the Delhi – Manali – Delhi journey
- Throughout the motorcycle circuit, we will ride the legendary Royal Enfield motorcycles, accompanied by a 4×4 support vehicle for luggage, passengers, and spare parts
ROAD CONDITIONS
- We will ride in single line and occasionally in a zigzag formation
- The route consists of 60% off-road and 40% on-road terrain
- On-road sections include smooth, straight concrete roads mixed with hairpin bends. Since we are riding in a mountainous region, some roads may be covered with sand or small rocks carried by the wind or fallen from cliffs
- Off-road sections feature rugged terrain, river crossings, sand, gravel, occasional mud, and plenty of twists and turns—everything an adventurer craves. No worries—the local team and Wanderlust Expeditions guides will assist you in any situation
- In case of natural disasters (e.g., landslides, roadblocks), the itinerary may be adjusted, leading to additional costs that must be covered by the client
REQUIRED SKILLS
- The participant must be able to ride the motorcycle daily for 6–10 hours (including meal breaks, rest stops, and sightseeing) and feel comfortable on any type of terrain and in all weather conditions.
MOTORCYCLE GEAR
- Each participant must bring their own motorcycle protective gear (helmet, jacket or armor, gloves, and optional knee guards)
- We do not recommend wearing leather suits as the riding speed will not allow the body to cool properly when dressed in such gear
- Due to significant temperature variations depending on altitude, it is advisable to wear layers of clothing, similar to trekking gear
- Additionally, it’s essential to have waterproof pants and jacket in your luggage
- It is also highly recommended to wear footwear that protects the ankles—no sneakers or low shoes allowed
ACTIVITIES AND TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
- 10 days of travel, covering approximately 1.000 km on Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycles
- We’ll cross a pass over 5.000 meters high, including the Chicham Suspension Bridge, the highest bridge of its kind in the world
- Visit medieval Buddhist monasteries
- Have the chance to send postcards from the highest post office in the world: Hikkim Village (4.440 meters)
- Experience a wonderful cultural blend of Indian and Tibetan traditions
- Guided tour of Delhi, India’s capital
TRAVEL INSURANCE
- You will need medical insurance that includes adventure sports (motorcycling). We also recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance (storno). You can arrange this through our partner Groupama Romania, or any other insurance broker. Please contact us for more details
- Before starting the motorcycle tour in Manali, a security deposit of 5.000 INR (approx. $60) will be required from each participant. This amount will be refunded in full after the tour, provided the motorcycle has not been damaged
