The Adventure

Feeling the wind pounding against your chest as you explore the world on two wheels… only a true rider understands this pure sense of freedom. Now, imagine experiencing this in the Himalayas, on a Royal Enfield, at over 5.000 meters altitude. It’s almost like soaring with eagles above the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth.

We’ll venture into this mystical region, riding along the highest motorable roads on the planet on the legendary Royal Enfield. Our journey will take us into the “Forbidden Kingdom”—Spiti Valley. Bordering Tibet, this sacred land holds deep significance in Buddhist tradition.

We’ll be mesmerized by towering peaks reaching over 6.000 meters (Gaya Peak – 6.794 m), the turquoise waters of Chandra Taal Lake, and the ancient secrets hidden within thousand-year-old monasteries. Along the way, we’ll indulge in the rich and authentic flavors of Indian cuisine and immerse ourselves in diverse cultures that will awaken our senses.

The journey begins upon meeting at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi
and ends when you depart from the same airport.

Day 1
Arrival in Delhi – Accommodation and Relaxation

After landing at Delhi Airport, we will be transferred to the hotel.
The day will be dedicated to settling in and relaxing after the long journey, giving each participant time to adapt
to the local pace and enjoy Indian hospitality and cuisine.
There is no fixed program for this day, so everyone can arrive based on the most convenient flight,
whether it’s a late-night arrival or the next morning.
Program: Free time, with an optional walk around Delhi and dinner at the famous Gulati Restaurant, Pandara Road.

Day 2
Exploring Delhi and Starting the Adventure

We begin the day with a delicious breakfast, followed by a guided tour of Delhi, taking us through the most fascinating attractions of the city.
We’ll experience the unique blend of tradition and modernity, vibrant streets, and impressive historical monuments.
In the evening, we board a comfortable bus and begin our journey to Manali, the gateway to the Himalayas and the starting point of our two-wheel adventure.

Day 3
Manali – Gateway to the Himalayas

In the morning, we arrive in Manali, a beautiful mountain resort, and the starting point of our adventure.
After recharging, we’ll meet our two-wheel companion, and the local guides will provide all the details about the tour and the route.
Once we’re ready, we embark on our first acclimatization ride, exploring the picturesque Hamta Valley.
The dirt roads, winding curves, and rugged landscape are the perfect opportunity to get accustomed to riding in the Himalayas.
In the evening, we return to the hotel for a relaxing dinner and a restful sleep, preparing ourselves for the adventure that awaits in the upcoming days.

Day 4
The Serpentine Road (110 km)

After breakfast, we hop on our motorcycles and head towards Banjar Valley, a spectacular route winding through picturesque villages.
The road leads us to the Jalori Pass, a challenging yet absolutely stunning climb.
Along the way, the mountain landscapes and the river accompanying us make every kilometer worth it.
After about an hour and a half of ascent, we reach Shoja, a small corner of tranquility located just below Jalori Pass.
Here, we stop for lunch, followed by a well-deserved relaxation break.
In the evening, we have some free time to explore the area on foot, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, and take in the breathtaking scenery.

Day 5
From Lush Forests to Baspa Valley (210 km)

In the morning, after breakfast, we prepare for a spectacular route towards Sangla, crossing the Jalori Pass.
The road winds through the Siraj Valley, passing through authentic villages like Rampur.
As we continue, the scenery becomes even more breathtaking – snow-capped peaks, lush forests, and dreamlike serpentine roads.
By the afternoon, we reach Sangla, also known as Baspa Valley, considered one of the most beautiful in Himachal.
After settling in at the accommodation, depending on the time left, we can visit Kamru Fort, the oldest fortress in the region, or explore Sangla Village, discovering the local way of life.

Day 6
Through the Land of the Gods (120 km)

After breakfast, we head towards Chitkul (3.460 m), the last village before the border with Tibet. The landscapes here are absolutely incredible – the Baspa River winding through the mountains, traditional wooden houses, and an almost unreal sense of tranquility. We explore the area on motorcycles and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this village at the end of the world.
We return to Sangla for lunch, then continue our journey towards Powari, where we stop at the impressive Reckong Peo Monastery, known for its 18-meter-high Buddha statue.
The last destination of the day is Kalpa, a strategically placed village with stunning views of Kinnaur Kailash Peak. Here, we visit the local monastery and, if time permits, we stop by the Kalpa Orphanage, adding an emotional touch to our adventure.

Day 7
Where Rivers Meet (130 km)

Today we enter the mysterious Spiti Valley, a land of barren mountains and spectacular roads.
The route follows the course of the Sutlej River, with the first stop in Khab, where we enjoy an impressive view – the confluence of the Spiti and Sutlej Rivers, a natural spectacle in the heart of the mountains.
Next, we face a series of dizzying hairpin turns that quickly take us to higher altitudes.
Once we reach Nako, a village perched at over 3.600 meters, we have time to relax by the peaceful Nako Lake or explore the Nako Monastery, a place rich in history and spirituality.

Day 8
Among Rocks and Temples (120 km)

The morning brings us a road full of adventure!
We leave Nako behind and head towards Kaza, with stops at the charming villages of Chango and Sumra, situated by a peaceful lake.
Along the way, every twist in the road reveals stunning landscapes, as we make our way to the Tabo Monastery, a sacred place radiating history and spirituality.
We continue our exploration with a stop in Dnakhar, a village perfect for feeling the vibrations of local tradition.
After a day filled with impressions, we reach Kaza, where we relax at the hotel, preparing for the next chapters of our adventure.

Day 9
From Kaza to the Highest Settlements (100 km)

In the morning, we head towards Key Monastery, located just 12 km from Kaza.
With centuries of history, this Tibetan monastery sits atop a hill and is a maze of rooms and corridors.
It is the largest monastery in the Spiti Valley and has long been a religious training center for lamas, housing priceless Thangka paintings.
After immersing ourselves in the spiritual atmosphere of the place, we move on to Kibber, a village situated at an altitude of 4.200 m, considered the highest permanently inhabited settlement in the region.
We continue our adventure surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, with an unforgettable view of Mount Gaya, rising at 6.000 m. In the evening, we return to Kaza, wrapping up a day full of discoveries in the heart of the Spiti Valley.

Day 10
Through Passes to the Magical Chandrataal Lake (160 km)

Today, we embark on a full-day excursion to Chandrataal Lake, a magical place where nature reflects perfectly in the crystal-clear waters.
We stop for a lunch break and become mesmerized by the breathtaking views, a true treat for both the eyes and the soul.
After a well-deserved rest, we continue our journey towards Sissu, with roads leading us deeper into even more stunning landscapes.

Day 11
The Rarefied Air of Singula Pass (120 km)

Today, the morning greets us with an unforgettable journey to Singula Pass, located at the impressive altitude of 5.091 m, crossing Jispa.
The spectacular views and the fresh air at this height will stay with us forever.
After spending some time soaking in the magic of this place, we continue our journey to Jispa, where we will stop for relaxation and rest after an intense day at high altitude.

Day 12
Return via the Atal Tunnel (100 km)

In the morning, we say goodbye to the tranquility of Jispa and set off on the final leg of our adventure, following the spectacular valley of the Chenab River. The road takes us through the impressive Atal Tunnel, an engineering masterpiece that cuts through the mountain and marks the transition between the rugged landscapes of Lahaul and the lush greenery of the Kullu region. Once we arrive in Manali, we begin to unwind after this incredible journey, reminiscing about our adventure and savoring every moment experienced in the heart of the Himalayas.

Day 13
The Return via the Atal Tunnel (100 km)

In the morning, we say goodbye to the peaceful atmosphere of Jispa and set off on the final segment of our adventure, following the spectacular Chenab River valley. The road takes us through the impressive Atal Tunnel, an engineering masterpiece that cuts through the mountains and marks the transition between the rugged landscapes of Lahaul and the lush green scenery of the Kullu region.
Once we arrive in Manali, we begin to recover after this incredible journey and share the memories of our adventure, savoring every moment experienced in the heart of the Himalayas.
